Dual-Mode Recording System

TicNote Standard’s physical slide switch on the side toggles between two optimized recording modes, each tuned for a different environment.
The slide switch is a hardware control — no app configuration needed. The OLED screen shows the active mode.

Speaker Mode (Default)

Switch position: Slide down · OLED shows Speaker icon Best for open environments where multiple people are speaking:
  • Meeting minutes and boardroom discussions
  • Classroom lectures
  • Interview recordings
  • Training sessions and seminars
  • Conferences and group discussions
How it works: Two omnidirectional digital silicon microphones capture sound from all directions. AI noise reduction filters keyboard noise, wind, air conditioning, and other ambient sounds in real time at 16 kHz sampling rate.
For best results in meetings, place the TicNote card in the center of the table or clip it to a notebook facing the speakers.

Earpiece Mode (Phone Recording)

Switch position: Slide up · OLED shows Earpiece icon Best for phone and call recording scenarios:
  • Phone interviews
  • Customer service calls
  • Remote meetings (phone-based)
  • Business phone consultations
How it works: Uses 1 bone conduction microphone + 1 omnidirectional mic to automatically detect phone call status and record both sides of the conversation simultaneously, transcribing in real time.
iOS: Place TicNote close to the phone’s earpiece position for optimal two-way recording.Android: Supports global call recording with no specific position requirement.
