Setup & Pairing

  1. Install the TicNote app (App Store or Google Play)
  2. Open the case lid — earbuds enter pairing mode automatically
  3. In the app, tap ”+ Add Device” and select TicNote Pods
  4. App shows “Connected” — you’re ready to go
  • Open the case lid and verify the LED turns on
  • Keep the case within 5 m of your phone with Bluetooth enabled
  • Long press the case button for 20 s to reset, then retry
  • Force quit and reopen the app
  • Toggle phone Bluetooth off and back on
  • Place both buds back in the case for 10 s, then remove together to re-pair

Recording

Case mode (most common for meetings): Double-tap the button on the charging case while the earbuds are stored inside with the lid closed. The case starts recording and the LED pulses.Buds mode (calls/interviews): Put on the earbuds. Tap the recording button in the app, or recording starts automatically when you answer a call.
  • In case mode: position the case in the center of the table, lid up, no obstructions
  • In buds mode: make sure earbuds are properly seated on your ears
  • Avoid placing the case near fans, AC vents, or projectors
  • Check battery in the app before long sessions
  • 4G significantly reduces battery life (12 h with 4G vs 22 h without) — disable 4G if not needed for Live Summary
  • Store in the case when not actively recording to maintain charge
ENC and AEC run automatically. For best results:
  • In case mode: place case in center of room, away from noise sources
  • In buds mode: ENC focuses on your voice; move away from loud environments if needed

Hardware & Wearing

See the full Accessories page for the complete hardware spec table.
  1. Hold the earbud with the speaker facing your ear
  2. Hook the ear loop gently over the top of your ear (not inside the ear canal)
  3. Adjust until comfortable
The open-ear design keeps you aware of your environment — this is intentional.

Long press the case button for 20 seconds to reboot. No recordings are deleted.
Go to App Settings → Devices → [Your Pods] → Unbind. Case storage is cleared after unbinding.
The Pods stay in low-power standby rather than full power-off (similar to standard earbuds). Store in the case to conserve battery when not in use.
  • Try a long press (2 seconds) instead of a tap
  • Check that the battery isn’t critically low (charge first)
  • Long press 20 s for a force reset if unresponsive

Charging & Battery

  • TicNote Pods uses a standard USB-C cable — any standard USB-C cable works
  • Inspect the USB-C port for debris and clean gently
  • Try a different USB-C cable and power adapter
Force-sync by toggling Bluetooth off/on, or pull down to refresh in the app.
Long press the case button for 20 seconds to force reboot.
4G connectivity significantly reduces standby time. Disable 4G when not needed for real-time AI features.

Sync & Data

  • Bluetooth (BLE): case syncs to phone via BLE
  • Wi-Fi: both case and buds support Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz sync
  • 4G (Pods 4G only): real-time cloud upload without phone proximity
Make sure phone and device are on the same Wi-Fi network. Toggle the feature in app settings off and back on.
  • Audio: MP3, WAV
  • Transcript: TXT
  • Summary: Markdown (DOCX / PDF coming soon)
  • Mind map: PNG (Xmind coming soon)
Swipe left on a recording in the app and tap Delete. Use bulk select for multiple files.
  • Data stored on US cloud infrastructure
  • Never used for AI model training
  • Case storage wiped after device unbinding
