    TicNote Lite is the entry-level model: plastic body (vs aluminum), no dedicated phone-recording mode switch, and a lower price. ## Audio Quality

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Q4. Recording volume is too low or unclear">
    * Switch to **Speaker Mode** (slide switch down) for open environments
    * Place the device closer to the speakers — ideal range is 1–5 m
    * Make sure nothing is blocking the microphone holes on the card
    * Check that the case or cover isn't muffling the mics
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q5. Recording duration is shorter than expected">
    * Charge the device fully before long recordings (1.5 hours to full)
    * Check the battery level in the app
    * Turn off unused features like Wi-Fi quick transfer when not needed
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q6. How do I reduce background noise in recordings?">
    TicNote's AI noise reduction runs automatically. For best results:

    * Place the device in the center of the meeting table
    * Switch to the correct recording mode (Speaker vs Earpiece)
    * Avoid placing the device next to fans, AC vents, or keyboards
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q7. What is a microphone array? How do I adjust it?">
    TicNote uses a 3-mic array: 1 bone conduction + 2 omnidirectional silicon mics. The array configuration changes based on the slide switch position — **no manual adjustment needed**. Speaker mode uses both omni mics; Earpiece mode uses the bone conduction + 1 omni.

## Hardware & Physical

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Q9. The case is too tight / hard to remove the device">
    Gently push the device out from the bottom edge using a fingernail. The leather case is snug by design to hold the device securely during magnetic attachment. It loosens slightly with regular use.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q10. The case is too loose">
    Contact support at [support@mobvoi.com](mailto:support@mobvoi.com) with your order number for a replacement case.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q11. Why does my phone screen go black when I attach TicNote?">
    The MagSafe magnet can briefly trigger the proximity sensor on some phones. This is normal behavior and doesn't affect functionality. Try repositioning the card slightly lower on the phone back.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q12. How do I reset the hardware device?">
    Long press the power button for **15 seconds**. The device reboots and returns to factory default state. **This does not delete your recording data** — all recordings remain in the cloud.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q14. How do I turn off the device? Why can't I turn it off?">
    TicNote is designed to stay in low-power standby rather than fully power off. Long press the power button to toggle recording; the device manages sleep/wake automatically. This ensures you're always ready to record. Battery standby is 20+ days.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q15. No response when pressing the button">
    * Charge the device — the battery may be fully depleted
    * Long press for exactly 2 seconds (not a quick tap)
    * Long press for 15 seconds to force reset if unresponsive
  </Accordion>

## Charging & Battery

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Q16. Device won't charge or turn on">
    * Use the **included proprietary magnetic cable** — standard USB-C will not work
    * Inspect the magnetic pins on both the cable and device for debris; clean gently
    * Try a different USB power source (5V)
    * If still unresponsive after 30 minutes of charging, contact support
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q17. App shows low battery but device is fully charged">
    * Open the app and force-sync by pulling down to refresh on the home screen
    * Toggle Bluetooth off and back on
    * If the mismatch persists, restart both the device (15-second reset) and the app
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q18. Device freezes or is unresponsive">
    Long press the power button for **15 seconds** to force reboot. No data will be lost.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Q19. Standby time is shorter than advertised">
    20+ days standby assumes Bluetooth is idle and no background sync is occurring. If your phone is consistently syncing files over Wi-Fi (quick-transfer mode), the device draws more power. Turn off Wi-Fi quick-transfer when not needed.
  </Accordion>
