# Device Binding

> Download the app and pair your TicNote Lite in 3 steps.

## Pair Your TicNote Lite

  TicNote Lite and TicNote Standard share the **same app**. If you already have the app installed, simply tap "+ Add Device" to add your Lite.

  <Step title="Install the TicNote App">
    Search **TicNote** in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), then install.

    * Supports **iOS 13+** and **Android 8+**
    * Grant **microphone**, **Bluetooth**, and **notification** permissions when prompted
    * Lite and Standard editions share one app; data syncs across the same account

  <Step title="Power On and Search">
    Press the power button for **0.5 seconds**. The OLED screen shows the Bluetooth icon — the device is ready to pair.

    In the app:

    1. Tap **"+ Add Device"** on the homepage
    2. The app searches for nearby TicNote devices automatically

      The OLED screen keeps you updated on every status change during pairing.
    </Tip>

  <Step title="Connected — Start Recording">
    The app shows **"Device Connected"** and the OLED shows a checkmark. Battery level and recording status are now visible in both the device and the app.

    **Hold the power button for 2 seconds** to start your first recording.

## Troubleshooting

    * Verify Bluetooth is on and the device is within 5 meters
    * Long press power button 15 s to reboot, then retry

  <Accordion title="App shows connected but no audio syncing">
    * Make sure microphone permission is granted for the app
    * Force quit and reopen the app
    * Check that you're on the latest app version

  <Accordion title="Offline recordings not syncing">
    When phone is back in Bluetooth range, files upload automatically — this may take a moment for long recordings. Keep the app open in the foreground for fastest sync.
