## Core Operations

## Hardware Switch — Recording Modes

TicNote Standard has a physical switch on the side that changes the microphone mode:

| Switch Position | Mode                                       | Best For                       |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------ |
| **Speaker**     | Captures the room / external environment   | Meetings, lectures, interviews |
| **Earpiece**    | Captures your phone calls via earpiece mic | Phone conversations            |

## Tipps

* **Battery**: Check level in the app; the OLED shows charging status
* **Offline mode**: Records without phone nearby; syncs automatically when reconnected
* **Reset**: Hold power button 15 s to reboot (no data loss)
* **Magnetic attachment**: Slide TicNote onto the magnetic ring on your phone case
